RID Standard Practice Papers

The Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID) has published a series of Standard Practice Papers (SPP) to define the standards to be followed in the ASL Interpreting Profession. ASL Services staff members served on the national committee to develop and publish the standard practices for Professional Sign Language Interpreting Agencies. (Reputable agencies should follow all of these defined industry standards, and abide by the spirit of the Code of Professional Conduct.)
