ASL Services can be contracted to conduct Deaf Awareness Training at your school, church, organization, or place of business.

We can provide education to you and your staff regarding deafness and Deaf Culture. There are many aspects that are unique to the culture of the Deaf Community. We can help you to relate to and understand many of these aspects, and help you to appropriately interact with individuals from this culture.

Some of the training can be as simple as learning proper use of the video phone, telephone relay services, and TTY for communicating with the Deaf.

Contact us through one of the options on our homepage if you would like to discuss options for scheduling Deaf Awareness Training for your organization.

We will conduct a Deaf Awareness Seminar free of charge to any business that is actively using ASL Services for their interpreting needs!

Realtime Captioning

ASL Services is acquainted with with a network of real-time captioners to provide captioning services for your meeting or event. Captioning is also referred to as CART (Communication Access Realtime Translation).

Many Deaf or Hard-of-Hearing consumers do not use American Sign Language, or prefer to read real-time captions as an accommodation for their language needs.

Realtime captioners can often be secured on fairly short notice, and if your venue has appropriate technical specs (high-speed internet connection, appropriate microphones, projection units, etc.), the captioner could actually do their job from a remote location and have the captions displayed at your meeting.

ASL Services partners with Archive Reporting and Captioning to provide this service. Feel free to contact this organization directly through their website, or by contacting their corporate office at 800-870-1795, or emailing at: info@archivecaptioning.com .
